Our new work
Providing...
127Pure has recently expanded our reach into Nepal for women and children who suffer due to their lot in life. Therefore, two safe-houses have been created where physical needs are provided while they are taught English so that they can have more employable opportunities in their future. The children also learn leadership skills and attend school where they excel in reading and math. While the children are at school, their mothers (societal “widows”) learn sewing and tailoring skills at the sewing centers where they are taught for nine months. They also learn conversational English and basic accounting skills so that they can create their own small businesses and live independently as they raise their children.
The goal of 127Pure through your generous donation is to create sustainability and independence. Pictured below is Putali who trained at the sewing center and now operates her own small-business where she makes and sells handbags, scarves, and snack food. She also actively helps mentor the younger widows as they raise their children.
- Shelter - A safe environment
- Food/Clothing
- Life skills and vocational training
- Sewing Machines (equipment to allow Widows to open own business)
- Hope for the future
